Beaches
of Goa :
Goa has miles and miles of beaches kissed by the soothing waves. The
famous among the rest are Calangute, Anjuna, Baga, Sinquerim, Arambol,
Miramar, Colva, Benaulim, Palolem and Agonda.
Calangute Beach :
The Queen of Goan beaches. Calangute beach
extending along the Arabian Sea in an inward arch of about 7 kms. may well
be called the "Queen of Goan beaches" for its popularity with the
visitors who throng it almost round the year and become utterly enraptured
by its unique scenic loveliness. It is the sea-side "rendezvous
par excellence" 15 kms from Panjim.

Colva Beach :
6 kms. from Margao- Colva Beach is the pride of Salcette and the only rival to
Calangute in popularity and perhaps surpasses it in scenic grandeur- miles
of sand girdled by verdant palm-trees swaying in the soft, caressing westerly
breeze blowing form the vast ocean; rhythmic lapping of waves which provide
a sensuous accompaniment to the ballads sung with gusto by romantic
"caballeros" and "senoritas", mingled with the music of
guitars at night .
Miramar :
A lovely golden beach of soft sands girdled with palm trees facing
the blue Arabian sea.
Dona Paula :
7 kms South
of Panjim, Dona Paula is a picturesque spot facing the Mormugoa Harbour
across the gleaming River Zuari and its idyllic beach is much sought after
by picnickers for a swim in the cool waters of the tiny bay.
| | The list does not
end here, lapped by the Arabian Sea, dotted with palm groves swaying night
and day with miles of soft white sand, bathed in mellow gold from dawn to
dusk turning to coolly enchanting at night sands stretching out as far as
eyes can see waiting for you.
